On September 26, 2007 I went to Layla House in Addis Abba, Ethiopia. Gail, the Adoption Advocates International liason, said "Here is Ephrem! Ephrem, here is your mom!" And he showed his worn and torn children's Bible and held out his arms to be picked up. Mother and son were essentially dazed and in shock.
